This week the Senate (overwhelmingly) passed CISA legislation, dubbed “La CISA Nostra.” See the article “CISA Passes Senate Despite Privacy Advocates’ Fear and Loathing” on TechNewsWorld.com. This bill would allow “sharing” of private data between public entities (“assumed” networks like Google, Microsoft, Yahoo – literally anything) and the government as govt is given rights to extend its reach. This includes email, online activities (Facebook), purchases (even through Amazon) and the like. You think the government won’t run amok with this? You think the IRS screws you now – you ain’t seen nothing yet!
Is there any wonder why the American public doesn’t want a politician or someone who comes from Congress to become the next President of the United States? We’ve had enough of politicians and not having a say-so.
“The passage of CISA today … shows just how badly Congress misunderstands technology, security and privacy,” the Electronic Frontier Foundation tweeted.
“If CISA becomes law, more Internet users’ communications information will be funneled to the National Security Agency, not as intelligence surveillance, but under the cybersecurity umbrella,” said Greg Nojeim, director of the freedom, security & technology project at the Center for Democracy and Technology.”
CISA is little more than a open-house lobbyist ticket to the White House & Congress and the Democrats 2016 Dream beyond all expected Obama hopes & accomplishments in his lame duck year.
Why we keep sending these worthless human-politicians up there to Washington is beyond comprehension. What does the citizenry need them for?
