Google is reportedly planning major updates to its Chromecast platform, according to documents obtained by 9to5Google.
The second generation Chromecast could debut at a Google event later this month, showing off a range of new features.Part of the update affects the device’s exterior, which will come in three colors and a different form.
Inside, the new Chromecast looks to offer an improved WiFi service with perhaps support of a faster bandwidth. It also offers a new feature called “Fast Play,” which would presumably allow for quicker connections, and support for content feeds on the home screen.
